Tirol protective clothing is comprised of a protective jacket and protective pants, according to EN 469 and Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association (ÖBFV) guidelines. The color of the external fabric is sand yellow, the stripes are, in part, triple stripes (yellow-silver-yellow). Two versions of the protective pants are available with regard to the level of protection for heat protection: protection level Xf2 Xr2 Y2 and Z2 as well as alternative protection level Xf1 Xr1 Y2 and Z2.
Three-layer fabric
- Exterior layer made from 100% aramid NOMEX®Though in gold
- Moisture protection (liner) with water and wind-proof, and highly breathable membrane
- Pants lining level 1 made from aramid/viscose blended fabric
- Jacket and pants lining level 2 with insulating lining from 100% aramid fleece and a stitched aramid/viscose covering
Functions of the jacket
- Panic zipper up to collar seam
- Good freedom of movement thanks to ergonomic sleeve design
- Abrasion protection in the elbow area made of flame-retarding, silicon/carbon coated para-aramid fabric
- Customized width adjustment at end of the sleeve with Velcro loop
- Sleeve end with NOMEX®Knitted cuff with thumb hole
- Absorption barrier made of PU-coated para-aramid fabric on the jacket and sleeve
- Repair access: on the jacket length inside, can be closed up again
Functions of the pants
- High waistband and extended kidney protection with hook on the outside
- 5 cm wide suspenders (sewn in place, length adjustable)
- Customized width adjustment in the waist with rubber and Velcro loop
- Fly with zipper, fixed additionally in waistband with Velcro
- Absorption barrier made of PU-coated para-aramid fabric
- Knee pads made of cellular rubber sewn in place on the hemline of the pants
- Repair access: at waistband height inside, can be closed up again
