Multiple monitored areas
For adequate protection, a total of three infrared cameras are used in three different areas: one camera is installed in the pre-sorting hall, one in the machine hall and one in the storage areas used for the heavy and light fracations. If a hotspot is detected, the turret transports the extinguishing agent to the danger area in a targeted manner and cools it preventively. The downstream treatment plant is additionally protected: spark detection and water spray systems on the conveyor belt and the shredder prevent fires from developing.
The first early fire detection system with distance measurement
Ordinary cameras detect distant hotspots too late and the necessary alarm is not triggered. RPA Infrared Detection Ignis3D is different: its integrated distance measurement always guarantees a correct assessment of the danger of hotspots, both at long and short ranges. This constant sensitivity ensures that even in Hufnagel Service's 5,000 m² (53,800 ft²) hall, detection works reliably regardless of distance. The distance measurement also enables a consistant size of the area to be extinguished.
