Rosenbauer mourns Julian Wagner

Obituary for Julian Wagner

It is with deep sorrow that the Executive Board of Rosenbauer International AG announces the death of Julian Wagner, who for many years served as Chairman of the Executive Board of Rosenbauer International AG. Following protracted serious illness, Wagner passed away in the presence of his family at the age of 63.

With his great personal commitment and entrepreneurial initiative, Julian Wagner was instrumental in driving Rosenbauer’s transformation from a small export-orientated firm into an exchange-listed global-playing Group. Rosenbauer today is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fire fighting vehicles. His great specialist knowledge and exceptional personality led to his being held in high regard by customers, Management and colleagues alike. He was an inspiring rôle-model for all staff, whose well-being was always of paramount concern to him. After 43 years’ service with Rosenbauer, 30 of them spent at the helm of  the company, Julian Wagner retired from the Executive Board on health grounds at the end of September 2011.
