The AT sets standards

Rosenbauer strives for perfection in all its developments. Since the AT is not subject to any lower standards, it has set the benchmark for firefighting and rescue vehicles since its introduction. The mature vehicle concept and the wide range of custom configurations of the AT product line are winning over customers across the world today.

The evolutionary AT. Familiar, but thoroughly modern.

Rosenbauer has sharpened up its AT: state-of-the-art LED lighting, the latest operating concepts, and the newest firefighting equipment and telematics. Its well-known strengths have been retained, of course: despite its high output, the AT is compact, clearly arranged and maneuverable and combines plenty of space with minimum weight.

Body concept

There are a wide range of options for the AT. In this way, the vehicles can be individually adapted to the needs of the customer. The respective configuration is always the result of a coherent, well-coordinated integration of innovative solutions. So every AT is a powerful, efficient firefighting vehicle.

The Rosenbauer AT - one for all:

  • Body on different chassis
  • Short overhang of just 2,004 mm
  • Wheelbases between 3,600 and 4,550 mm
  • Excellent weight distribution over and between the axles
  • Water tank size between 500 and 5,500 l
  • Excellent handling thanks to intelligent construction and low center of gravity
  • Optimum load concept

Loading

The AT offers the largest possible equipment compartments with the appropriate external dimensions.

  • Variable layout: completely customizable according to your preferences and requirements
  • All available space is used: storage spaces under the seat benches and above the revolving stairs
  • Adjustable holders: fixtures can be quickly and continuously moved any time your needs change

Hose magazine – ergonomic and space-saving

With the hose magazine, hoses are not stored side by side, but above one another: once the first hose has been pulled out, the next one automatically slides down for removal. This saves time, space, and significantly simplifies removal. In addition, the equipment compartment is then optimally utilized from top to bottom.

Stowage system with color coding

The stowage system enables the quick and easy removal of equipment. The uniform color concept also simplifies the work. All operational and graspable devices are marked with the signal color orange.

Firefighting equipment

Rosenbauer offers a very large selection of efficient extinguishing systems, which can be optimally integrated into the AT. The fact that the bodywork is developed hand in hand with the firefighting equipment is what makes Rosenbauer stand out from the crowd and guarantees the perfect interaction of the components within the vehicle. This is exactly what ensures maximum extinguishing performance in operation. Moreover, Rosenbauer extinguishing systems stand for incomparable robustness and maximum service life - for an extinguishing system that always functions perfectly.

Built-in pumps

Not only can pump technology be regarded as Rosenbauer's core competence, it is also at the heart of every firefighting vehicle. The design of Rosenbauer built-in pumps with normal pressure (N25, N35, N45) and high pressure (NH25, NH35, NH45) as centrifugal pumps offers the best efficiency and lowest pressure surges due to flat pump characteristics. The rear pump can also be encapsulated. The machinist is protected against noise in the best possible way.

Foam proportioning systems

The Fixmix 2.0  mechanical around-the-pump foam proportioning system can be integrated into the pump and then automatically adjusts the foam compound quantity to the flow rate. Operation takes place manually or via the RBC LCS. Three proportioning ratios can be set on the normal pressure side. An electronic control is also available as an option, whereby water and foam flow rates are displayed and the proportioning adjusts to the viscosity of the foam compound. With the high-pressure Fixmix, foam compounds can be added purely on the high pressure side. The system works mechanically, is maintenance-free, and completely integrated into the pumps of the NH series. With a proportioning ratio of 0.5%, 1%, 3% or 6%, foam on the high pressure side and water on the normal pressure side can be discharged simultaneously. The electronically regulated RFC Admix Variomatic direct injection proportioning system is characterized by its single or multi-channel capability. The foam proportioning can be regulated separately for each discharge outlet according to requirements. With the RFC CAFS extinguishing systems, the water-foam-compound mixture is already expanded in the system with compressed air. This compressed air foam offers an impressive throw range and excellent adhesion.

Turret

Three different electronic (RM15RM25RM35) and one manual (RM24) water turret are available in the AT. The electronic turrets, which are controlled via CAN bus, enable, among other things, absolute position recognition and indication on the display, as well as infinitely variable stream patterns.

Crew cab

The integrated twin cabin is impressive with its numerous safety and ergonomic features. The interior offers the crew maximum space. SCBA holders in the crew cab can be installed both in as well as against the direction of travel. 3-point safety belts on all seats and a complete rollover airbag system on demand with belt tighteners for the outermost seats in the crew cabin provide even more safety for the crew.

Indirect LED lighting

The indirect, glare-free LED lighting provides optimal illumination of the crew cabin. It prevents eye fatigue, which allows the eye to adjust more quickly to dark areas at the scene of the emergency. The right light intensity also ensures sufficient alertness and comfort.

Patented crew compartment exit

A standard was set with the Rosenbauer rotating stairs. These allow the crew to enter and exit the vehicle quickly and safely. Even while wearing heavy breathing protection and when the door can only be opened halfway.

Operation

The operation of a fire fighting vehicle must not be a mystery - especially when out on deployment. Rosenbauer therefore relies on a modern, self-explanatory operating system that is uniform in all vehicles.

Logic Control System: intuitive operation and reliable monitoring

With the RBC LCS, installed devices and integrated systems from the pump to the generator can be operated intuitively, and operating states can be quickly recorded. All functions are color-coded, the main operating path is highlighted in color and runs from left to right or from top to bottom. This allows each operator to find their way around the control panel immediately. The LCS includes a 10" high-resolution display as well as a smaller 3.5" display, an endless rotary key with pushbutton function (DIGIPOT), and various key panels.

FIRECAN: the standardized interface for electronic systems

Thanks to FIRECAN, all vehicle components can be operated from the displays and helpful information is better available during operation. For the emergency crews this means: more operating convenience with a uniform user interface. FIRECAN also provides support for maintenance and servicing and ensures the integration of the various components independent of the firefighting vehicle through plug-and-play. They can therefore be used in different vehicles for many years.

Scene arrival button

When the scene of the emergency is reached, all it takes is a keystroke to automatically enable previously selected systems, e.g., scene lighting, hazard lights, traffic guidance system, or the electric power system.

High-tech for perfect visibility during operation.

Safety through visibility

The close-range and long-range scene lighting integrated into the roof gallery and the rear scene lighting placed in the crest or spotlights placed at the front provide wide-area illumination of the entire working area. The latest LED strips are used for this purpose. They not only shine brightly but are also glare-free and avoid the formation of shadows. A blue LED strip can be integrated along the entire length of the roof gallery and controlled with the flashing light function

Flexible light around the vehicle

The Flexilight brings light directly to the operational site. The newest generation of high-performance LEDs achieves a maximum light yield with minimal power consumption. The floodlights, which can be moved, are installed in the head of the telescopic light mast and can switch between scene and point lighting. The Flexilight can also swivel upwards, for example, to illuminate house facades or balconies.

Ground contour lighting for safe footing

When the parking brake is applied, the ground contour lighting is automatically switched on. This enables emergency crews to see exactly where they can tread safely in darkness and on wet or dirty ground conditions. If the equipment compartment flap is open, the light stays on and illuminates the steps.
