Operational clothing 

Tested and certified according to the guidelines of the Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association (ÖBFV)

Protective clothing, according to subsidy guidelines, is comprised of a protective jacket and protective pants, which are manufactured according to EN 469 and ÖBFV guidelines. The stripes may be yellow-silver, depending on the German state, or with triple stripes.

Salzburg protective suit

Salzburg protective clothing is comprised of a protective jacket and protective pants, according to EN 469 and ÖBFV guidelines. The color of the external fabric is sand yellow with triple stripes (yellow-silver-yellow). Jacket and pants are tested according to EN 469:2005 / A1:2006 (highest protection level Xf2 Xr2 Y2 and Z2) and Appendix B.

Three-layered fabric

  • Exterior layer made from 100% aramid NOMEX®Though in sand yellow
  • Moisture protection (liner) made of a PTFE membrane on Basofil fleece
  • Safety thermo lining made from Basofil fleece with quilted covering made from aramide/viscose blended fabric

Functions of the jacket

  • Water, wind-proof, and breathable jacket membrane
  • No penetration of moisture thanks to absorption barrier on the ribbed cuffs and waist
  • Good freedom of movement thanks to the special sleeve design with movement gusset
  • Highly heat-resistant, stable zipper, also covered by a flap
  • Additional reinforcement in elbow region
  • Super flame protection collar
  • Individual adjustment of sleeves
  • Drawstring cord to fit the waistband

Functions of the pants

  • Simple pull-Velcro tab for optimum adjustment of the waist
  • Fly with zipper and Velcro fastener, covered with flap
  • Two side pockets, covered by flaps
  • 15 x 3 cm Velcro tab to attach a name badge to the left side pocket flap
  • Two inside side pockets
  • Absorption barrier on pants cuffs

The FIRE MAX 3 Upper Austria is certified according to EN 469:2005 and EN 1149-5. It corresponds to the Upper Austria Fire Department Service Apparel Regulation Part 1 - Operational Clothing (March 2015, 1st Edition). The protective suit consists of a jacket and trousers.

Three-layer fabric

  • Outer fabric made from 100% aramid NOMEX®Though in dark blue
  • Moisture protection (liner) made of a PTFE membrane on Basofil fleece
  • Safety thermo lining made from Basofil fleece with quilted covering made from aramide/viscose blended fabric

Protective jacket design:

  • Metal panic zipper up to the collar attachment seam
  • Ergonomically pre-shaped elbows
  • Shoulder area with heat protectors
  • Sleeve ends with NOMEX® knitted cuff and thumb hole
  • Both sides have attached breast pockets, with the left one designed as a radio pocket with a grip tab and Velcro latch for rank tags, and the right pocket fitted with bag and flap, also with a grip tab.
  • With waterproof Napoleon pocket under the front band, on the right with attached inside pocket with Velcro
  • With lamp holder on front band
  • On the right breast is the lettering FIRE DEPARTMENT in 15 mm high silver reflective capitals and the crest of the Upper Austria fire service

Protective trousers design:

  • With 5 cm wide removable suspenders
  • With elasticated sides for waist adjustment; with two side-mounted drying loops
  • Two side pockets with flap and grip tab with tab for attaching gloves
  • Left pocket with additional sling bag and strap
  • Right pocket with an additional knife pocket and sewn-on badge for 2 pens
  • Two internal side pockets, closed with zippers
  • Ergonomically pre-shaped knees

Steiermark protective suit

Steiermark protective clothing is comprised of a protective jacket and protective pants, according to EN 469 and Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association (ÖBFV) guidelines. There are two reflective stripes, one 5 cm wide silver and one 5 cm wide gold. Jacket and pants are tested according to EN 469:2005 (highest protection level Xf2 Xr2 Y2 und Z2).

  • Exterior layer made from 100% aramid NOMEX®Though in dark blue
  • Moisture protection (liner) with water and wind-proof, and highly breathable membrane
  • Insulating lining from 100 % aramid fleece and a stitched aramid/viscose covering

Functions of the jacket

  • Attached sleeve
  • No penetration of moisture thanks to absorption barrier on the ribbed cuffs and waist
  • The jacket closes using a quick-release zipper, which is covered by two strips.
  • Two inside pockets with flaps and two radio pockets
  • A 3 x 15 cm long fleece section is located above the left radio pocket for attaching a name badge
  • The sleeves narrow using a Velcro fastener
  • Anchoring strap for respiratory protection card

Functions of the pants

  • The pants are designed as quick-response pants and have a quick dress and belt system.
  • Adjustable and elastic suspenders
  • Fly with zipper and cover strip
  • Two inside pockets and two hip pockets
  • Knee patch made of especially abrasion-resistant meta- and para-aramid blended fabric
  • Knee reinforcement made of black flame-retarding, silicon-coated para-aramid fabric
  • Fixed sewn in aramid fleece knee pads
  • Moisture barrier on pants seam
  • Elastic wind guard on pants cuff

Tirol protective suit

Tirol protective clothing is comprised of a protective jacket and protective pants, according to EN 469 and Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association (ÖBFV) guidelines. The color of the external fabric is sand yellow, the stripes are, in part, triple stripes (yellow-silver-yellow). Two versions of the protective pants are available with regard to the level of protection for heat protection: protection level Xf2 Xr2 Y2 and Z2 as well as alternative protection level Xf1 Xr1 Y2 and Z2.

  • Moisture protection (liner) with water and wind-proof, and highly breathable membrane
  • Pants lining level 1 made from aramid/viscose blended fabric
  • Jacket and pants lining level 2 with insulating lining from 100% aramid fleece and a stitched aramid/viscose covering

  • Good freedom of movement thanks to ergonomic sleeve design
  • Abrasion protection in the elbow area made of flame-retarding, silicon/carbon coated para-aramid fabric
  • Customized width adjustment at end of the sleeve with Velcro loop
  • Sleeve end with NOMEX®Knitted cuff with thumb hole
  • Absorption barrier made of PU-coated para-aramid fabric on the jacket and sleeve
  • Repair access: on the jacket length inside, can be closed up again

Functions of the pants

  • High waistband and extended kidney protection with hook on the outside
  • 5 cm wide suspenders (sewn in place, length adjustable)
  • Customized width adjustment in the waist with rubber and Velcro loop
  • Fly with zipper, fixed additionally in waistband with Velcro
  • Absorption barrier made of PU-coated para-aramid fabric
  • Knee pads made of cellular rubber sewn in place on the hemline of the pants
  • Repair access: at waistband height inside, can be closed up again
