Direct-injection foam proportioning systems only mix the foam compound/additive after the water pump in the corresponding outlet. Thus, at one outlet water (e.g. for cooling), and at another outlet a water-foam compound mixture (e.g. for extinguishing) can be discharged. The built-in fire pump is free of foam compound and therefore does not have to be flushed.
Direct-injection foam proportioning systems only mix the foam compound/additive after the water pump in the corresponding outlet. This means the water pump is always flooded with water only and does not need to be flushed. Thus, at one outlet water (e.g. for cooling), and at another outlet a water-foam compound mixture (e.g. for extinguishing) can be discharged.
By injecting of the foam compound after the water pump, it is possible to use the pump in hydsrant mode and produce foam at the same time.
These systems have their own foam compound pump that can also be used to fill the foam compound tank.
