Vehicle Management

Vehicle management for emergency services

During operation, service4fire records all of the processes in the emergency vehicle and the built-in components. CAN-Bus data is stored in a telematics module built into the vehicle and transmitted to the central data storage via GSM.

Information about vehicle position, operation and condition is evaluated and can be accessed online. Rosenbauer service4fire supports the administration of the whole fleet through notifications and reports. This ensures that you have access to an overview of the operational readiness of your vehicles wherever you are, at any time.

Impresses with

  • Display of the vehicle position on maps
  • Notifications about the vehicle condition
  • Logging of vehicle usage
  • Supported by remote after-sales service
  • Automatic notification of upcoming service

Notifications

The operational readiness of a vehicle is a prerequisite for a successful operation. To ensure that all components function properly, it is vital to detect errors at an early stage. service4fire allows:

  • Automatic examination of all vehicle components
  • Early detection of deviations
  • Automatic messages about the vehicle condition to you and the customer service team

Automatically generated messages immediately inform about the vehicle condition. These message are also useful in vehicle training to support proper operation.

Remote diagnostics

To ensure the availability of the emergency vehicle, sources of errors must be detected and remedied as quickly as possible. service4fire supports you with:

  • Possibility for the after-sales service to evaluate recorded data
  • Detection and analysis of errors before the first on-site visit
  • Location independent diagnosis

Due to the automatic examination of vehicle components errors can be identified and fixed at an early stage. The remote diagnosis contributes to shorter down-times and timely inspections of your vehicles.

Service

In order to maintain the operational readiness of your vehicle regular service checks are necessary. service4fire automates service planning:

  • Monitoring the upcoming service deadline based on the current operating hours, mileage or vehicle age
  • Automatic email notification of upcoming service inspection
  • Possibility of keeping records of finished service works on the Online Service Portal

Reports

With the aim of providing an overview of the functionality of the vehicle’s components, service4fire automatically generates reports. These reports can be adapted to the specific needs of every fire station in the course of a project.

Operational reports

  • Automatic generation of operational reports
  • Current information about consumption, operating hours, etc.
  • Manual input of additional information (e.g. driver of the vehicle, reason for fire fighting call, etc.) in the Online Service Portal

Vehicle use

  • Reports on the usage of the vehicle and individual components
  • Possibility to track individual processes down to the second (e.g. engine speed, discharge pressure, warning systems, etc.)

Maps

As soon as the vehicle is in operation, the telematics module transmits current position data to the data center. This way you always know where your vehicle is currently located.

  • Display of the current vehicle position
  • Logging of the routes driven
  • Vehicle tracking in real-time possible (in the Online Service Portal or with the service4fire app)
  • Display the route of the vehicle with the service4fire app

In addition to the Online Service Portal, the most important information about your vehicle fleet – such as status information, error mesages, position data, etc. – can also be viewed on your Android smartphone.

  • All vehicle messages can be accessed any time from anywhere
  • Display of all vehicles in operation, routes driven and vehicle position
  • Display of the current vehicle status
  • Route navigation to the vehicle
  • Access for all firefighters at no additional cost

The app is available for download for free at the Google Play Store. A test version is also available.

Integrated solutions

Telemetry and positioning data are the foundation for many future applications, such as modern navigation equipment, command systems or even service management programs. Thanks to the built-in telematics module, the vehicle is well equipped for these developments and the necessary hardware is already available.

EMEREC

EMEREC is the mobile information management system from Rosenbauer. It supports firefighters during an emergency operation. EMEREC makes operationally-relevant data like fire protection plans, car rescue sheets or hazard data available on the mobile EMEREC Tablet computer and thus enables all participants to work together more efficiently.

In combination with service4fire, vehicle positions or tank fill levels (water, foam, fuel) can be displayed right on the interactive situation map by EMEREC. This gives the operational commander an overview of all available resources.
