The THL D protective suit is especially suited for forest firefighting and rescue operations. The THL D suit is a particularly light protective suit and offers the wearer a very high degree of comfort. Additionally, the jacket itself corresponds to the requirements of EN 15614:2007 Pt. 9.2. and therefore meets the visibility requirements according to EN 469:2005 + A1:2006 Appendix B.1, B.2 and B.3.

Additionally, this protective suit is characterized by its practical details, for example, the suit offers the option of connecting the jacket to the pants with a zipper.


THL D is available with the NOMEX® Tough exterior material in a dark blue color.

Fabric and outer fabric materials

Single-layer fabric

  • The single-layer fabric of the THL D suit consists of a water, dirt, and oil-resistant outer material.
  • Membrane and lining are not needed
  • Exterior layer made from blended fabrik made of 35% aramide and 65% viscose FR
  • The protective suit has an especially low weight with just 1.80 kg (size 52-54)

The THL D protective suit impresses with its functionality and numerous practical details:

Jacket design 

  • Front zipper up to the top edge of the collar, covered by a flap
  • Good freedom of movement thanks to two golf pleats on the back and an ergonomic sleeve design
  • Customized width adjustment at end of the sleeve through a rubber band and a Velcro strap
  • The operational jacket can be attached to the pants with a connecting zipper
  • Two chest pockets as radio pockets (left under the flap with fastening ring - right with a small carabiner)
  • Above the radio pocket: 15 cm fleece strip for name tag
  • Strap for attaching the hand-held microphone at shoulder height
  • Stripes with silver and yellow/silver/yellow reflecting 3M stripes
  • Front zipper up to the collar - on back with fleece strip to attach a Velcro badge (8 x 38 cm)

Pants design 

  • Trousers with belt loops
  • With Velcro strips on waistband to attach removable suspenders (optional)
  • Fly with zipper and waistband button
  • Good freedom of movement thanks to ergonomic pants design
  • Reinforcement with abrasion protection made from silicon carbon coated para-aramide fabric in the knee area
  • Pants cuffs can be tightened with Velcro strap
  • Pants seam designed to prevent wear due to abrasion and as moisture barrier
  • The operational jacket can be attached to the pants with a connecting zipper
