The AT – in operation with company fire services

The AT Series has more than evidenced its worth as a municipal fire truck. Moreover, the fact that its versatility also makes it a perfect partner for company fire services has recently been demonstrated by the Bosch-Schwieberdingen works fire department in the course of daily operations with its new universal pumper.

Powerful, innovative and flexible

The Bosch-Schwieberdingen works fire department was convinced by the AT’s ability to offer superstructures on all standard chassis in the overall weight class up to 18t, flexible extinguishing technology with integrated N(H)25 to N(H)45 pumps, various foam proportioning systems, large equipment compartments due to differing wheelbases and an innovative LED lighting concept. As a result, the department opted for a universal pumper on an MB Axor 1833 L 4x2 and a normal pressure N35 pump. Additional information regarding the industrial pumper truck is available from the data sheet.

Every expectation met

Michael Schwenke, the Deputy Commander of the Bosch-Schwieberdingen works fire department on the new pumper: “The expert consulting, the design in combination with technical know-how and the masterly craftsmanship shown from planning to delivery corresponded fully with our expectations.”

“The first class finish, a clear menu language and the simple operation have confirmed the opinion of both the entire crew and myself that we made the right choice of vehicle.” The 56-strong works fire department completes roughly 1,200 calls annually and to date the all-rounder from Rosenbauer has proven its excellence in every operational and exercise scenario.

The fact that there is also great international interest in the AT for industrial operations is indicated by the imminent delivery of nine trucks fitted with a 5,100l water and a 400l foam tank, an NH35 with FIXMIX and an RM25C roof turret to a large oil and gas company in Oman.
