New TWISTER-cross boots for ASB Alkoven

Alkoven Samaritans outfitted with new Rosenbauer boots

The Alkoven Rescue Organization "Arbeiter-Samariterbund" is one of four Samaritan organizations in Upper Austria. The Samaritans’ work encompasses a variety of activities, all with the aim of helping their fellow human beings: rescue services, ambulance transport, meals on wheels, etc. With a fleet of vehicles including 2 rescue vehicles, 1 emergency ambulance, 1 all-purpose vehicle, 1 vehicle for “meals on wheels” and 2 trailers for emergencies or disasters, they are well equipped for all scenarios. But it is not only modern vehicles and equipment that are important for the Alkoven group; protecting their helpers is also a major concern.

New footwear following the flood disaster
The flood disaster in June once again clearly demonstrated the importance of top-quality protective boots for emergency personnel. This is true not only for firefighters, but equally so for those working in rescue services. Alkoven was severely affected by the flooding with just under one-third of the municipality’s land under water. The Alkoven Rescue Organization "Arbeiter-Samariterbund" spent one week in continuous operation. "The 2013 flood was a decisive reason to provide our employees with new, comfortable, but also reasonably priced footwear that could offer a high degree of protection," says chairman Klaus Eder.

TWISTER-cross: the boot for all operations
"The TWISTER-cross work boot, newly developed by Rosenbauer, is the optimal footwear for those types of large operations, but also for daily work tasks," adds department head Ernst Eibensteiner.
The TWISTER-cross is the only low-cut boot on the market featuring the BOA® lacing system, which allows personnel to put them on or take them off in a matter of seconds and provides even lacing. The puncture resistant insole with steel toe, reflective elements, comfort padding, low weight and many other features round off the boot’s design. The boot is certified according to EN 15090:2012 F2A HI3 CI AN SRC and is therefore perfect for use in all fire and rescue situations.
