The name says it all. Advanced Technology stands for the most innovative and advanced firefighting and rescue vehicle superstructures in the world. AT means: always up-to-date and familiar at the same time.
The well-known advantages of the AT now have an even greater effect. It combines all the functions and components that make a superior firefighting vehicle. It is multi-talented: safe and comfortable, compact and maneuverable, intuitive and simple, powerful and efficient and last but not least reliable and durable.
Rosenbauer strives for perfection in all its developments. Since the AT is not subject to any lower standards, it has set the benchmark for firefighting and rescue vehicles since its introduction. The mature vehicle concept and the wide range of custom configurations of the AT product line are winning over customers across the world today.
Rosenbauer has sharpened up its AT: state-of-the-art LED lighting, the latest operating concepts, and the newest firefighting equipment and telematics. Its well-known strengths have been retained, of course: despite its high output, the AT is compact, clearly arranged and maneuverable and combines plenty of space with minimum weight.
There are a wide range of options for the AT. In this way, the vehicles can be individually adapted to the needs of the customer. The respective configuration is always the result of a coherent, well-coordinated integration of innovative solutions. So every AT is a powerful, efficient firefighting vehicle.
Rosenbauer's experienced customer advisers provide support throughout the entire procurement process: from the initial idea, through configuration and detailed design, to the finished vehicle and even beyond.
The body concept of the AT is not only well thought-out, but also adaptive, i.e., it fits a wide variety of chassis. Professional or volunteer fire department... it doesn't matter. Whether tank firefighting vehicle or rescue vehicle: the AT always offers the right answer on the right chassis.
Depending on requirements, Rosenbauer puts together the appropriate pump unit (manual
to fully automatic), the perfect lighting design and the optimum interior fittings or loading solution as a package. All packaged in an attractive exterior design.
During operations in the dark, eyes are soon overwhelmed by glaring direct lighting. For this reason, the AT uses sophisticated indirect lighting integrated in the equipment compartments. This ensures quick and secure handling and good color recognition without glare. LED-illuminated push-buttons also facilitate work at dusk and at night.
During the journey to the scene of the emergency, the tension among the rescue teams is often very high. However, external influences can noticeably improve the situation: Pleasant lighting and a good communication situation help reduce stress. For Rosenbauer, the design of the crew cab, therefore, plays a major role.
The LED roof module provides optimum illumination of the crew cab. It is indirect and, therefore, glare-free. In this way the eye is not fatigued and can re-adjust more quickly to dark areas of the scene. The correct dosage of light intensity also ensures sufficient alertness and comfort.
The demands made on the AT in terms of compactness and integration are also evident in the integrated twin cab (IDK): it stands for maximum safety, maximum comfort for the emergency crews and maximum practicability. With the IDK, Rosenbauer can make full use of its expertise and provide fire departments with an optimally thought-out space solution.
The even, continuous cab floor reduces the risk of stumbling, the continuous roof lining prevents the head from bumping. The interior of the crew cab is fitted with high-quality synthetic parts and a dirt-repellent synthetic floor. This is also skid-resistant and easy to clean. Illuminated LED handrails on top and handrails near the doors provide additional support when required.
More space for equipment in separate equipment compartments thanks to the crew cab concept. Additional equipment can be stashed away in cleverly integrated storage spaces, such as seat compartments. The driver's cab of the chassis can easily be tipped over, which makes maintenance work easier. Additionally, the compact design improves the driving behavior.
The optional intercom system, integrated in the neck supports, allows stress-free and clear communication, even with open windows or when the siren is switched on.
A lot of space and safety in the interior:
The operation of a firefighting vehicle must not be a mystery - especially when on an operation. Rosenbauer, therefore, relies on a modern, self-explanatory operating system that is uniform in all vehicles.
When the scene is reached, all it takes is the press of a button and the previously selected systems, for example, scene lighting, hazard lights, traffic guiding light or the Electric Power System, are automatically activated.
The hoses are stacked on top of each other in the hose magazine. When the first hose is pulled out, the next one slides in automatically for removal. This saves time, space, and significantly simplifies the removal.
The Rosenbauer rapid intervention nozzles are attached with so-called one-finger latch mounts. They can be easily released and removed with the press of a thumb.
With LCS, installed devices and integrated systems from pump to generator can be operated intuitively and operating states can be quickly recorded. All functions are color-coded; the main operating path is highlighted in color and runs from top to bottom. This allows each operator to find their way around the control panel immediately. The LCS includes a 10" high resolution display as well as a smaller 3.5" display, an endless rotary key with print function (DIGIPOT) and various key panels.
Thanks to FIRECAN, all vehicle components can be operated from the displays and helpful information is better available during operation. For the emergency crews this means: more operating convenience with a uniform user interface. FIRECAN also provides support for maintenance and servicing and ensures the integration of the various components independent of the firefighting vehicle through plug-and-play. They can, therefore, be used in different vehicles for many years.
Good visibility is the basic prerequisite for safety in operation. This is why Rosenbauer attaches particular importance to an optimal lighting concept for the AT.
The close-range and long-range scene lighting integrated into the roof gallery and the rear scene lighting placed in the crest or spotlights placed at the front provide wide-area illumination of the entire working area. The latest LED strips are used for this purpose. They not only shine brightly but are also glare-free and avoid the formation of shadows. A blue LED strip can be integrated along the entire length of the roof gallery and controlled with the flashing light function
The Flexilight brings light directly to the operational site. The newest generation of high-performance LEDs achieves a maximum light yield with minimal power consumption. The floodlights, which can be moved, are installed in the head of the telescopic light mast and can switch between scene and point lighting. The Flexilight can also swivel upwards, for example, to illuminate house facades or balconies.
When the parking brake is applied, the ground contour lighting is automatically switched on. This enables emergency crews to see exactly where they can tread safely in darkness and on wet or dirty ground conditions. If the equipment compartment flap is open, the light stays on and illuminates the steps.
