The fire department operational clothing is a real must for all firefighters. Whether for exercises, competitions, work in the fire station, extinguishing services, or light technical operations, the operational clothing can be used in many ways. Rosenbauer not only offers turnout trousers and turnout jackets in accordance with the ÖBFV directive, but also according to the Federal State guidelines for Upper Austria, Tyrol, Salzburg, and Styria.
The clothing described below conforms to EN 469 and ÖBFV Directive ÖBFV RL KS 03, which specifies special requirements for technical and/or fabric-specific performance data which exceed the EN 469 standard. The clothing combination according to ÖBFV is basically composed of a protective jacket and turnout trousers or overall. The textile protective jacket must conform to Level 2 of EN 469 regarding heat protection, waterproofness, and water vapor penetration. The padded turnout trousers or overall must conform to at least Level 1 in terms of heat protection and waterproofness. For water vapor penetration, performance level 2 is generally required. The operational bodice does not have any protective function within the scope of the ÖBFV Directive; it merely serves as a supplementary piece of clothing.
Certified according to EN 533:1997 and EN ISO 15025:2002. The back of the bodice is equipped with a golf pleat, which allows for good freedom of movement. The yoke features two layers. Two pockets with flap are located on the front side. All closures are Velcro fasteners. A 5-cm wide silver reflective stripe is featured on the chest, back, and circumferentially on the sleeves. All threads and Velcro fasteners used are flame-retardant.
Certified according to EN 469:2005. The trousers have two thigh pockets and two hip pockets. A 5-cm wide silver reflective strip is featured on both legs. All threads and Velcro fasteners used are flame-retardant.

The pants have two stitched patches with hip pockets. 5-cm wide silver reflective stripes are sewn around the trouser legs and sleeves as well as across the chest and back. All threads and Velcro fasteners used are flame-retarding.
Certified according to the UA Fire Department Service Clothing Regulation, Part 1, operational service clothing (March 2015, 1st Edition) The operational clothing for Upper Austria has a dark blue design with extensive yellow-silver-yellow reflective stripes. The turnout jacket features a new design, which is now worn over the waistband. Additional details of the turnout jacket include securing straps on both sides, the cover strip, the continuous zipper and elasticated sleeve ends. The jacket and trousers are permitted for use as operational clothing only when combined.
In accordance with the "NEW Protective Operational Clothing Directive of 2011" of the Tyrol Regional Firefighters' Association. The Tyrol operational clothing consists of a turnout jacket and turnout trousers in accordance with EN 15614. The lined turnout trousers must also comply with EN 469 and the material requirements and size chart of the ÖBFV directive. The outer fabric is permitted exclusively in sand-yellow color. For striping, a triple stripe (yellow/silver/yellow) is specified in most instances. Material of a blend of 35% aramid and 65% viscose (310 g/m2).
Conforms to the "Fire Brigade Clothing Directive" of the Salzburg Regional Firefighters' Association Org. No.: 1.02.02 Issue 01/2011. The Salzburg operational clothing consists of turnout trousers or turnout overall with a fabric lining or moisture protection lining in accordance with EN 469 and/or in accordance with ÖBFV guidelines and, if necessary, an operational bodice. The color of the external fabric is sand yellow with triple stripes (yellow-silver-yellow).
Material and design largely identical to ÖBFV operational bodice. Reflective striping: yellow/silver/yellow, 5 cm wide, running circumferentially around the chest & back and sleeves.
Certified according to EN 469:2005 (protection levels Xf1 Xr1 Y2 and Z2). Material and design largely identical to ÖBFV turnout trousers. Reflective striping: yellow/silver/yellow, 5 cm wide, running circumferentially around both legs, and vertically on the leg outer. Trousers also available with moisture protection.
According to the "Clothing Directive for Operational and Protective Clothing" of the Styria Regional Firefighters' Association RL .3.5-152-2010. The Styrian operational clothing in green or blue consists of a turnout bodice and turnout trousers or overalls in accordance with EN 469 or ÖBFV guidelines, and equipped with silver and yellow reflective strips with a width of 5 cm. We do not offer combined clothing items ('onion peel system') for safety reasons and in the interests of our customers.
