Rosenbauer to Supply Forest Firefighting Vehicles to BwFuhrparkService GmbH for Use by German Armed Forces

Biggest order of its kind comprises 76 off-road specialty vehicles

Fleet service company BwFuhrparkService GmbH is procuring 76 forest fire trucks (FlKfz WBBk) from Rosenbauer on behalf of the German Armed Forces.

Rosenbauer Germany was awarded the contract because it had the most cost-effective bid in the tender.

Sturdy off-road chassis and high-quality fire extinguishing systems
The vehicles are part of the MT series. They are custom-designed according to the precise deployment needs of the fire crews and feature state-of-the-art equipment. They not only have sturdy structures and high-quality fire extinguishing systems, but also come with continuous LED light packages for everything from the equipment compartment through to scene lighting, all the functions of which can be operated via special displays.

The forest firefighting vehicles are built on the Tatra T-815-7 4x4 Force, an off-road chassis delivering uncompromising robustness and all-terrain capability.

The compact vehicles – which can weigh up to 18 metric tons – are powered by 395 hp Euro 6 engines, allowing them to be maneuvered quickly and easily, even along dirt tracks and across unpaved terrain.  The vehicles have a fording depth of up to 1 meter and are capable of extinguishing fires even while in motion.
