RDS Connected Fleet

Vehicle Management

Vehicle management for emergency services

RDS Connected Fleet records all processes in the emergency vehicle and the installed components during operation. CAN bus data is stored on a telematics module installed in the vehicle and transmitted via GSM to the central data memory. Information on vehicle position, operation and status is evaluated and can be called up online.

RDS Connected Fleet supports the management of the entire fleet with messages and reports. This provides a constant overview of the operational readiness of all vehicles. And that thanks to online connection at any location.

Impresses with

  • Display of the vehicle position on maps
  • Notifications about the vehicle condition
  • Logging of vehicle usage
  • Supported by remote after-sales service
  • Automatic notification of upcoming service

Notifications

The operational readiness of a vehicle is a prerequisite for successful use. In order to ensure that all components always function perfectly when they are needed, it is essential to recognize errors early on.

RDS Connected Fleet provides important services here - it functions as an integrated early warning system:

  • Automatic examination of all vehicle components
  • Early detection of deviations
  • Automatic messages about the vehicle condition to you and the customer service team

Remote diagnostics

Only those who identify the causes of errors in an emergency vehicle as quickly as possible can rectify them quickly and thus minimize downtimes. RDS Connected Fleet is the perfect tool for this:

  • It enables the evaluation of the data recorded for customer service
  • The detection and analysis of errors can take place before the first visit on site.
  • This remote diagnosis is possible regardless of location thanks to the online connection.

Service

Regular service checks are necessary for the maintenance of vehicles and components. RDS Connected Fleet helps organize these checks:

  • Monitoring the upcoming service deadline based on the current operating hours, mileage or vehicle age
  • Automatic email notification of upcoming service inspection

Reports

In order to find out how vehicles or individual components are used, RDS Connected Fleet creates automatic reports. These can be individually adapted to the requirements of each fire service on a project-specific basis.

Operational reports

  • Automatic generation of operational reports
  • Current information about consumption, operating hours, etc.
  • Manual input of additional information (e.g. driver of the vehicle, reason for fire fighting call, etc.) in the Online Service Portal

Vehicle use

  • Reports on the usage of the vehicle and individual components
  • Possibility to track individual processes down to the second (e.g. engine speed, discharge pressure, warning systems, etc.)

Maps

If the vehicle is in operation, its GPS module transmits current position data to the data center. RDS Connected Fleet processes this tracking data and creates a comprehensive movement profile:

  • Display of the current vehicle position
  • Logging of the routes driven
  • The tracking of the vehicle is possible in real time possible

Vehicle condition analysis

  • ARFF

  • Industrial and
    specialty vehicles
  • Defects and malfunctions, e.g. vehicle electronics, turrets, HRET, fire fighting water and foam concentrate pump, vehicle engine, power train, exhaust systems, etc.
  • In-service condition of the vehicle and its components
  • Increased oil temperature, dirty oil filter
  • Battery voltage drop
  • Discharge pressure, pump temperature and cavitation etc.

Integrated solutions

RDS Connected Command is the mobile information management system from Rosenbauer. It supports firefighters during an emergency operation. RDS Connected Command makes operationally-relevant data like fire protection plans, car rescue sheets or hazard data available on the mobile EMEREC Mobile and thus enables all participants to work together more efficiently.

In combination with RDS Connected Fleet, vehicle positions or tank fill levels (water, foam, fuel) can be displayed right on the interactive situation map by RDS Connected Command. This gives the operational commander an overview of all available resources.
