For more than 15 years, I have been able to play a decisive role in the development and further development of HEROS firefighter helmets as a product manager, and I can proudly say that I enjoy this job more today than ever before.

I myself have been a member of a volunteer fire department in Upper Austria for many years, and have also been the commander of this fire department for 10 years now.

It is precisely this “hobby” that makes my job as a developer and product manager in the field of firefighting helmets much easier, as I can perfectly incorporate all my accumulated experience.

In our fire department, we switched to HEROS helmets from Rosenbauer very soon in 1993, so I was able to familiarize myself with them at an early stage.

When I joined Rosenbauer in 2007, the HEROS Xtreme had earlier been presented at Interschutz in Hanover in June 2005 as the first helmet to meet all the requirements of the upcoming EN443:2008 standard. The HEROS Xtreme had already won over a lot of international fire departments with its very high performance characteristics and excellent wear comfort.

In 2010, the HEROS family continued to grow with the HEROS Smart. This type A helmet conquered the German market in just a short period, and well-known fire departments such as the Frankfurt Fire Department opted for it.

In 2015, with the HEROS Titan as the successor to the HEROS Xtreme, we achieved a huge further development and thus also an increase in volume, which is still ongoing. The HEROS Titan convinces with its unrivaled wear comfort, its service-friendliness, the multitude of adjustment possibilities, and last but not least with its very modern and unique design, which has won many prizes.

Just last year, we were able to introduce our newest family member, the HEROS H30. Like the HEROS Smart, this helmet is also a type A helmet, which has adopted all the features of its big brother, the HEROS Titan, and added a position light.

A special highlight for me was when we were able to put our new, ultra-modern helmet production into operation. Our helmet production uses state-of-the-art, highly flexible production methods, complete quality assurance, and an in-house test laboratory. Moreover, short transport routes enable us to manufacture in an environmentally conscious and sustainable manner.
