Optional automatic priming offers maximum operating safety in water delivery.
If the water column in the suction line is interrupted, the priming pump is tensioned by a spring and priming begins.

Drive belt tensioned:
priming pump running

During operation of the fire pump, the pressurized water relaxes the drive belt by means of a water hydraulics cylinder and the priming pump is disabled.

Drive belt relaxed:
priming pump disabled

For free-discharge operation, the priming pump can be disabled via a bowden cable.
