|
The ROSENBAUER R240 fire extinguishing pump is a 2-stage
NP centrifugal pump according to DIN 14420 with a performance
of 2.600 ltr/min at 10 bar. The ROSENBAUER R240 is verified
and authorised in the versions as rear built-in pump FP
16/8 and FP 24/8 as well as front end pump FP 8/8 and FP
16/8.
Standard equipment for the ROSENBAUER R240 is an automatic
priming pump, which can be switched off manually for drain
operation.
The most outstanding features of the ROSENBAUER R240 are
its compact design and efficient double action piston priming
pump.
Due to the very flat developing pump characteristic line an
approximately constant staying outlet pressure is guaranteed
at different delivery rates.
Due to the high efficiency of the ROSENBAUER R240, it is possible
to operate with a low engine power by a high delivery rate.´
Due to these features the main field of application of
the ROSENBAUER R240 are municipal fire fighting vehicles
and compact pump units.

| Priming: |
 |
The priming pump is an automatically controlled, in an oil
bath running, double-action piston pump The drive of the
light alloy piston of the priming pump is made by a ball
bearing, which is positioned on an eccentric shaft. For feeding/draining
operation, the automatic priming unit can be bridged manually.
