Characteristic

The pumps of the ROSENBAUER N(=normal pressure) and NH(combined normal- and high-pressure) -series are the result of a modular constructed product family. The normal pressure versions comprise one-stage centrifugal pumps, while the high-pressure versions have three stages.
The ROSENBAUER N/NH series is equipped with a standard gearing, which permits optimum adjustment to various drive speeds.
An extensive range of additional features is available for the ROSENBAUER N/NH series, ranging from diverse pressure distributors to multi-phase premixing systems and electronic pressure regulation.

The main area of application for the ROSENBAUER N/NH series are municipal fire-fighting vehicles.
The ROSENBAUER N/NH-series is also employed for industrial fire-fighting vehicles and air crash tenders, as well as for motor-pump units.

Technical data
Centrifugal pump:

Single stage normal pressure pump (N) and three stage high-pressure pump (NH) contra-rotating, mounted on the same triple beared pump shaft, made of corrosion-resistant steel. Between the low- and the high-pressure-section a maintenance free compression gland guarantees a reliable sealing. Outwards the waterproofing of the pump shaft is realised by 2 mechanical, also maintenance-free mechanical seals. The low and high-pressure housing as well as the impeller and stator are made of corrosion-resistant steel. The connection of the two pump housings is made by the patented ROSENBAUER-CIRCLIP system.

Priming pump:

The suction process is manually or automatically operated by a double-action piston pump running in an oil bath. The light-alloy piston is driven by a sliding block, sitting eccentrically on a separate ball-beared shaft, driven from the pump shaft by a V-belt or toothed-belt. The suction or pressure valves are concentrically placed in the cylinder head, there result the very compact dimensions.

air pressure: 0,975bar
speed of the priming pump: n=3.700min-1 to 4.000 min-1
temperature of the priming pump: t= 25°C - 53°C
volume of the measuring reservoir: 100ltr

Gearing:

Single-stage, helical gear. The hardened and grounded gear wheels made of high value steel guarantee - running in an oil bath - a silent operation at a long lifetime.

There exist 17 gearing-up proportions in total, so that an optimal adaptation to a wide spectrum of rotation speed of the drive assembly can be realised. Therefore the pump an the drive are always running at the optimal working point.

Optional features, e.g.:
Foam proportioning system ROSENBAUER FIX MIX

Pump instrument panel:
The instrument panel of the pump is made of steel, white painted and set up above the suction inlet of the pump. It enables - depending on the construction - a comfortable operation of the pump, the outlets and the foam proportioning system ROSENBAUER FIX-MIX. Furthermore there are pressure indication instruments, warning lights and a colour guidance system to enable a quick and reliable pump operation or monitoring.

Pressure regulator:
The pump pressure - independent from the supplied water volume - is hold constantly at a from the operating staff defined level by an electronic control unit.

Pumpenheizung / Pumpenkühlung:
A water space which is connected to the cooling circulation of the drive engine coats the pump and prevents the freezing of the pump during the ride at low exterior temperature and furthermore serves as additional coolin of the drive engine during long pump operations.
