Characteristic |
|
The ROSENBAUER MIXMATIC system uses
a diesel powered foaming agent pump. A differential pressure
control steers the foaming agent pump, ensuring constant
pressure that is 4 bar above that generated by the extinguishing
water pump. The foaming agent is conducted to the pressure
outlets via pressure line, where it can be added at differing
rates.

The ROSENBAUER MIXMATIC benefits:
- Independent and simultaneous delivery of water or foam
at each outlet.
- The extinguishing medium (water or foam) and the admixing
rate is adjustable at each outlet (independent from the other
outlets) in the range of 200 - 6000ltr/min.
- The proportioning rate can be adjusted between 2% and 8%
directly at the outlet
- Accuracy of admixing rate ±10% at the whole delivery
rate
- The foam agent pump is controlled by an electronically
speed controller of the driving engine.
- The foam agent is not damaged by a continuous circulation,
because only the real consumed volume of the foam agent will
be delivered by the foam agent pump.
- External water and foam agent suction during the fire extinguishing
operation
- The extinguishing water pump is not admitted with the foam
agent.

The ROSENBAUER MIXMATIC ensures to meet all requirements
regarding the individual demands of each fire accident on
the basis of the independent and simultaneous delivery of
water or foam at each outlet. So it is possible to use pure
water at one or several outlets and foam with a proportioning
rate of 2% - 8% at the remain outlets by a delivery rate
of 200 ltr/min - 6.000 ltr/min. The adjustment of the extinguishing
medium (water or foam) and in case of a foam operation also
the selection of the proportioning rate can be done directly
at each outlet. The ROSENBAUER MIXMATIC is a practice-orientated
solution for a professional operation and additionally it
saves time.

3-stage ROSENBAUER centrifugal pump made
of gun metal, driven by a sound insulated HATZ- DIESEL engine.
The delivery rate of this pump is 440 ltr/min at a pressure
of 16bar.

| Control |

A constant pressure difference of 4 bar
between the extinguishing water and the foam agent is maintained
by means of an electronical differential pressure control unit.
This control unit controls the speed of the pump driving engine
(HATZ- Diesel) and in that way the delivery rate of the foam
agent pump. This means, that the volume of the foam agent is
always adjusted to the instantaneous delivery rate of the extinguishing
water and the selected proportioning rate.

The adjustment according to the instantaneous
delivery rate of the extinguishing water is done by the ROSENBAUER
PRESSURE PROPORTIONER DZ120. An eccentric in the pressure proportioner
doses the foaming agent exactly as a function of the water
volume at the pressure outlet. There are different eccentrics
for different proportioning rates - two in each pressure proportioner.
This means that there are two foam proportioning rates defined
at each pressure outlet. By turning on both eccentrics, a third
proportioning rate is obtained, namely the sum of the rates
of the two eccentrics. When the foam line to the pressure proportioner
is shut off, the outlet delivers water only. However, the system
can be switched over to foam at any time, even during extinguishing
operations. The ROSENBAUER DZ500 ensures an automatic foam
proportioning the entire operating range of the monitor.
