High-pressure fire extinguishing methods have
been part of fire brigade tactics for more than 50 years. Extinguishing
performance of approx. 200 l/min at 40 bar was provided by the NEPIRO
pistol branch pipe. Rosenbauer has now launched the third generation
of the NEPIRO, which sets new standards in the high-pressure fire-fighting
sector with regard to extinguishing effectiveness, operational safety
and ergonomic design.
Extinguishing effectiveness:
The combination of high-pressure technology
and hollow jet nozzle facilitates especially fine water dispersion.
The tiny droplets evaporate completely and thus remove a maximum
amount of energy from the fire. Under practical conditions this
provides the optimum extinguishing effectiveness of the water employed.
In addition, simple turning of the regulator wheel on the hollow
jet nozzle allows flow settings from full jet to spray and self
protection curtain.
Operational safety:
A nozzle flush setting allows the simple removal of layers of dirt
of up to 5 mm during operations. This means that the pistol is protected
against clogging. The stop valve is separate from the nozzle, opens
up sufficiently to allow the washing out of any impurities and is
highly wear-resistant due to its special design. In addition, the
nozzle and the pipe body have a plastic cover to protect them against
mechanical loads. The impact guard on the nozzle can be removed in
order to lock a foam pipe firmly onto the pistol.
Ergonomic design:
As a result of the shape of the pistol, recoil
is transported directly into the rear hand and the NEPIRO allows
a neutral grip. The front hand is free to guide the jet or to adjust
its intensity. In addition, the NEPIRO can be comfortably propped
up by the body over a large support area.
